Oral Surgery & Tooth Extractions
Sometimes a tooth can't be saved, or needs more than a simple extraction. With my hospital surgical background, I can handle most complex cases right here in practice, without a hospital referral. The aim is simple: get you out of pain and back to normal as quickly as possible.
When might a tooth need to come out?
- •
Severe decay that can't be repaired
- •
Advanced gum disease
- •
A broken or cracked tooth
- •
An abscess or infection
- •
Crowding
- •
Impacted wisdom teeth
Every treatment starts with a proper assessment, usually with an X-ray or 3D scan. I'll explain your options and what to expect. Complex extractions are my bread and butter, and I'll make the whole thing as gentle as I can. In the rare case that you need hospital care, I'll refer you and explain why.
What happens on the day
- 01
Numbing
I make sure the area is completely numb before I start. You'll feel pressure, but not pain.
- 02
Gentle removal
I use careful techniques that protect the bone and gum around the tooth. This matters if you want an implant later.
- 03
Faster healing
Where it helps, I use PRF from your own blood to speed up healing and reduce the risk of dry socket.
- 04
Stitches and aftercare
Any stitches are usually dissolvable. You'll go home with clear aftercare advice and a follow-up call.
